Little Elim

This is NN's little cousin Elim. (Uncle Edin and Auntie Priscilla's baby girl). She is so adorable, always smiling. And she is also really well behave. We had lunch together with her the other day, and she can sit quietly in her carseat during the entire lunch without a peep. Wha t a wonderful baby. We now have so many baby cousins to play with now. Baby Issac (Uncle Alan and Auntie Carmen's baby boy), Baby Sarah (Uncle Daniel and Auntie Liza's baby girl). We will probably have a gathering really soon at the month old lunch. NN are tired

This took place after we went to the circus festivals last weekend. As you can tell, both of them were exhausted. Their heads were tiled, saliva were flowing, and noses were snoring.

Puck Farm

We went to Puck farm during the easter long weekend. That was a great deal because it only costed us $10 to go in. And this $10 included easter egg hunt, pony rides, playing with hay, pony rides, farm animals, plus rides like Mary-go-round.

Since I'm an extremely Non-outdoor girl, it's actually fun to see how much little kids can appreciate nature. It was even fun to just jump on top of some hay-roll (whatever you called them).

There were farm animals and Nathan got to feed the horse.

And of course, Pony ride!

I was shopping at Zellers one day and found this red flashing lights for $0.25. I knew Nathan would love it so much. So Yea yea did a great job attaching it to his "fire truck" and he was riding it around the house rescuing everyone.

My favourite Uncle Alex

Uncle Alex came visited us on Saturday. It was really nice of him. He even bought those sport drink for grandpa. Nathan had a great time playing with him. Then we invited him to go to the Circus Festival at Harbourfront centre on Sunday. He said no.....(hee hee, I'm sure Duck Duck EE got really angry because she called and wanted to come on Sunday la :)

Thanks so much for being so nice to us. (And I will try my best not to yell at uncle A__x too much :)

The truth meaning of "媽媽"

Since the lack of language, Naomi relies strongly on body language plus screaming to communicate her needs. But to encourage proper communication, whenever she is loud and wants something, our strategy is to ask her softly "唔好咁大聲. 你話:『媽媽,謝謝』咪得啦!" (Don't need to be so loud. Just say "mommy, thanks") Smart Naomi will know to not scream anymore, and say "ma ma", and use her arms to gesture "thanks" And as time goes on, whenever I asked her to say "thanks", she would now say "ma ma". I guess she equate "thanks" as "ma ma"

Nathan Skating

When you learn to skate, it's very important to learn how to fall. Nathan obviously got a real good hang of it. As you can see, he fell very s-l-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-w-l-y.

Another funny thing was he dad promised to pull him on the ice provided that Nathan can pull dad the next time. So Nathan decided to pull his dad by getting off the ice and started walking on the side instead of skating. Sneaky eh!

When I am sad...

Naomi has some moments when she is sad and would cry cry cry. Most of the time these moments happened when she was tired. It has been now 2 weeks since she spent time with a sitter (Ping Ping E) during the day. The lady who takes care of her is so nice. Some how, when Naomi is with Ping Ping E, she would tell the Ping Ping E that she is tired, and would just go to sleep on her own. And so I tired to do the same thing today. Em......didn't quite work. That's why I am now blogging. (Yep, I'm carrying her with our baby carrier sitting in front of my laptop right now.) (pictures taken: 2009.4.12)

It all started out nicely. When NN wakes up every morning, they always greet each other with lots of hugs and kisses. (Grandma actually asks Naomi to wake Nathan up in the morning to avoid tantrum).
But then Naomi decides to play rough, and starts:
