Reading in the car

After we picked up some new books from the library, Naomi and mommy were going home.  While driving, mommy looked back and realized that Naomi was reading the book already while the car was moving.

Mommy:  "Naomi, you know that we are not suppose to read in the car while the car is moving."

Naomi:  "  Are we going to be arrested?" 

Mommy:  "em...... no, not really, but it's bad for your eyes....."  I guess law enforcement is more powerful than us.

Yes!  We won!  I was a really exciting game and Nathan team won in the last 2 minutes, again!

March Break Ski camp

Since mommy is not a ski person and doesn't understand the sport, Daddy had to come to the first day of camp to make sure everything was ok. 

 

 A student of mine is the instructor there!  :)  In fact there were lots and lots of camp councilor taking care of the kids, and they were all really nice and helpful.

The morning barely even started and Naomi was getting tired already. 

We got there at around 9, by the time it was 11, the kids finally have gotten their ski and getting ready for lessons.  (I think because most of the camps you go to you don't actually get to see the operational side of things, I have to say that this is probably one of the most hectic camp ever!  Just very inefficient in term of getting their gears and organizing their groups.)  After about another half an hour of fussing, the group was finally ready for some action. 

Nathan got really far really quickly (the far black dot) because he went skiing with daddy before.  And he said he went on black on the second day.  And on the third day, he tried snowboarding.  I am so proud of him for willing to try, and he said snowboarding was a lot of fun too.  

Naomi was learning quite quickly too.  After too round of bunny hill, she went on to green and off she goes!

The second day when we dropped them off, parents were not allowed to stay.  They kind of blamed the hectic-ness on us, but since I didn't get to see how it went, it felt like they had things more under control.  I guess sometimes it's almost better when you don't see it.

In general, I would say it was a pretty good camp, and we could consider joining again, now that I know more about the gears and things.  (Simpler than Hockey for sure).
