Nathan had his first skating lesson yesterday. Being a loser mom, I actually missed his first lesson last week. Each skating lesson is 45 minutes long. And for the longest time, I thought Nathan will forever swim on the ice (he was on the ground the whole time, crawling every where) or sculpting on the ice (he used his hand to hold on to the heel of his skates and was scraping on the ice). Then all of a sudden, he was able to stand up, and was all of a sudden chasing bubbles (from the instructor) with the better group.
Here is the intro to skating lessons:
There were about a good 100 kids there. Every kid were literally in the same class, but is grouped in ability. When a kid pass a specific milestone, an instruction will pick them up and skates them to the next group.
I was fun watching Nathan skates. I was at first a little concerned cuz it was so not like him to let himself become immobilize and just sat there. But then it became very much like him when he all of a sudden became mobile, then very mobile and was brave.
I can't wait til next week to drive him to skating lesson again. It was very funny watching him.
