No drawing on the wall

One day when I got home from work, Nathan quickly came and told me that Naomi drew some crayon on the wall. Thinking in my heart how "cheap" Nathan was, I still had to talk to Naomi about not drawing on the wall. So I gave a wet paper towel to wipe the crayon off the wall. And as she was cleaning, I realized that there were another mark on the wall. So I asked, "Naomi, did you draw here as well?"

Nathan quickly answered me, "No, Naomi didn't do this."
Mom: "So who did this then?"
Nathan: "Some other little children."
Mom: "Like who?"
Nathan: "Some just other little children."

Very sneaky. Later on we found out that Naomi actually didn't purposely draw on the wall. What happened was Nathan went pee pee and she must followed him. So while she was holding on to the crayon, she was also holding on to the railing. That's why she drew on the wall, accidently. And since grandma didn't get angry at Naomi about drawing on the wall, Nathan thought he would try as well. So Nathan did purposely drew on the wall. And of course mom made both of them clean the wall.

Nat Lion dance

Daddy bought this new lion head for NN for Chinese new year. Naomi used to be fearless of the lions last year, but this year she wouldn't even walk near one. Meanwhile Nat loves the lion dance this year. Great-grandma has been in the hospital since mid December and was allowed to come home for Chinese New Year dinner. We were all so so happy, and asked little Nathan to put on this Lion Dance show for tai por.

It was Uncle Alex's birthday and we went over to his house for dinner. It was great food prepared by Duck Duck EE. But Nao's favourite is still the dessert, Chocolate cake.

Ever since Naomi was born, we have been telling Nathan that taking care of Naomi is part of his responsibility. That's how our family is like. We all take part in this little community to keep everybody happy. And Nathan has been really good about it. And we also tell Naomi that she has to help Nathan as well. So now Nathan helps Mui Mui with things that she can't quite do yet (like turn on lights, open doors), while Naomi helps Nathan with things that he doesn't quite like to do (like cleaning up his transformers after he's done playing with them).
We have established our perfect little balance.

Yeah! I finished editing the photos for 2009 :) I can now start working on the 2009 photobook. Hopefully I can finish it soon. There are 2099 pictures to choose from. It's definitely take a while.

Little miss actress

Naomi was playing miss grumpy, so I told her I wanted to take a picture for her. So she posed "sad face" for me.


Then I told her to smile for the camera, and she gave me the sweetest smile. (Can't believe she's not even two yet)

Church Nursery

Yep, I know, I know, it has been a while. Our church nursery room was newly renovated at the end of last year. We now have great programs for the preschoolers. (Naomi's age as well). When Uncle Geoff shot that video, Naomi and other kids played little "Lam Kay" actors and actresses. Very cute.

Miss Chan we miss you

We went to the open house for the school that Nathan went to before his JK because we are registering for Naomi starting September. We are going to put Naomi in for half days when she is 2 and a half. And because Naomi is a March baby, she will have to go to Montessori for 2 years before she can go to JK. We took Nathan with us as well since he misses his old school so much, and his teachers also really miss him. Nathan were so excited. It was nice watching him going back to a place that he grew and enjoyed so much.

Here is a video of one of the activities that he learned. Plus, he still remembered his trinomial cube.
