Ripping of Nasty habit: Nail biting update

Remember back then when we tried to put nail polish on Naomi's nails when she has succeeded not biting nails for 2 of her fingers?  Guess what, she now only has 2 nails that she bits.  Her fingers are looking nicer and nicer.  That means that she is actually quite aware when she bites her nails.  Lets hope that she has enough will power to quit totally.  I promise her that we will go and buy a nail polish, colour of her choice, the day that all of her 10 fingers look pretty!!

And at TKD, mommy notices her biting her hair (yep, she finally talked mommy into letting her grow her hair long, like Rapunzel).  Instead of passively waiting and watching, mommy jumped right in and tried to nip this newly developed nasty habit right in the butt.  I very sternly said that this is a bad habit because:

1. Hair is very dirty and we don't put it in our mouths
2.  Eating your hair and you can get really sick
3. The most strongest point:  I will cut your hair if I see you biting it ever again!!!

Long time no see, my friend

Nathan's childhood best friend Gabriel.   Because of busy schedule,  it has been so long since they have last played together.   (Even this time they only got 10 minutes. )  Gotta work harder in arranging a play date! !

TDK Sidekick

While Nathan is trying so hard practicing his side kicks, as you look carefully, you can see Naomi just walks casually and pretends to make some sound like she was kicking. 

New concept: Offside

The girls are entering playoffs and coach is busy explain this very difficult concept, offside.  The refs are starting to call offsides.   Naomi kept nodding her head stating that she understands.  :)

Dentist visit

Oops, Nathan has his first cavity, and it's his permanent molar at the very back.  :(  our dentist said that its becasue there is a really deep groove right at the back that is hard to reach.   Seeing how crowded Nathan's teeth are you can imagine how difficult it is for him to clean them well.  

Naomi on the other hand has very serious cross bite.  Both NN are waiting to see an orthodontist for expert opinions.

Player of the game celebration!

Nathan was so excited!  Daddy said he even played better at the following game after he received his player of the game.  I guess positive encouragement really works!

Girly habits

If you give Nathan a choice to do whatever he wants in his free time,  he would probably pick Mindcaft or Marvel hero.  Second choice would be building things. 

And if you ask Naomi,  she will choice practice cursive writing, rainbow looms,  drawing rainbows or hearts,  or other coloring or activity work books.  

So Call me Maybe

New ritual in the Chan's resident:  listening to pop music every single night when we brush our teeth.  Well, I should say, mommy and Naomi, listening to "Call me maybe" EVERY SINGLE DAY......

Finally tonight we had a change!  We listened to Roar :)  Funny listening to Naomi sing.

Player of the game: Nathan Chan!!

Yeah!!  Nathan got player of the game! !  He got to put on this special golden jersey and received a goft certificate to Shoeless Joe.  Good job, baby!  So proud of you.  

Girls day out

Naomi was really sick last week (strep throat) that she wasn't allowed to go to the ski trip that was planned for the weekend.  She was so sad that she just lost it and cried so much.   So I promised her to take her to Cora for a girls day out breakfast.
