Sleepy Nao

we went to ROM for a special Chinese New Year celebration. Nao was so so sleepy in the car but she just couldn't fall asleep. She ended up missing all of her nap that se fell asleep on the car ride home. (around 5 and she is still sleeping now). She missed her dinner as well. And now I'm about to go to sleep. I bet you that she will take up right when i'm falling asleep and will tell me 我瞓醒啦。

Grill Cheese Sandwich

Today was our first swimming lesson. They both enjoyed their classes so so much. And being wonderful parents, we took them to McDonald for Happy Meals. This was also Naomi's first grill cheese sandwich. It was funny watching her chomping the sandwich down so so quickly. Partly because she didn't eat too much for breakfast. Also because she used up alot of her energy for class as well as the fact that she loooooooves cheese.

照顧弟弟

A few weeks ago, Naomi did something really maturely.(sorry, I don't remember what she did anymore.). So I said to her that I was really proud that she can take care of herself. She then said 「我重可以照顧弟弟。」
Today she really took the chance and took care of her little brother.

Nathan's Chinese school has a poem competition. What he didn't tell us was that his class had a little presentation....so we missed it. So we asked him to present to us again. Oops!

This was the end of the concert. Do you see the only kid in white. Everybody was suppose to dress in red. But since he got really warm, Nathan decided to take off his red top , wearing only his undershirts. Note to self, next year the undershirt should also be red so he doesn't stand out as much.

Naomi got a baby doll last year and it ended up sleeping in the suit case which came with the doll.

This year, Naomi got another baby doll as Christmas gift and we open it today. She and Nathan has been taking good care of the baby - Belle this time :)

I've never liked dolls, and I always wish that Naomi does not like dolls neither. She likes Barbie, Disney princesses, and now this doll. I don't know if it is because it's new that she seems obsess with it. Naomi took her to bed together (which she never does.). She even named her "Belle".

NN love little kids. They are gentle, they share all of the possessions with everybody else, and they constantly try to make them laugh. Their favorite kids gotta be Jayden and Isaac, probably because they respond the best to NN.

Character building: Honesty

Nathan received this note from school. We asked him to tell us why. He said that he peed everywhere and when his teacher asked who did it, he honestly admitted to it. So the teacher appreciated the fact that he was honest, and they praised him on that.

We have has quite the battles with being honest. And we have been very serious about it.

2010 air show

This year Nathan was really looking forward to the air show because he is now more knowledgeable about jet and airplane. Unfortunately due to bad weather (a wind storm), the air show was actually cancelled after we got to the CNE. Luckily, hotwheels was there to save the day. They were giving out T-shirts and book with all the hotwheels car. They even got to play with some hotwheels.






Finally the most fun game, chasing goose and seagulls. I was sure that Nathan stepped on some poo. At least he didn't get poo-ed on.

Children Choir Dec 19, 2010

NN joined the Church children choir and they learned a few songs to Praise the Lord. They actually sang really well when they were practicing, and even better a week after Dec 19 (The day that they performed) As y0u can tell, Nathan was obsessed about the string that was in his pants pocket and was determined to rip it out. So there goes the reminder of "no picking nose, no moving around, sing, and smile". And Naomi seems to be too nervous that she was "black mouth black face" the whole time.

If you don't have the patience to watch through all of the videos, at least watch the last one where there is a close up of Naomi actually singing.

Even though Nathan really wanted the Cotton candy and it tasted really good, but after a few bite, he really couldn't handle it. He was too polite to tell us that he couldn't eat anymore, but by looking at his face, one can really tell that he have had enough. So I asked him if he wanted to stop eating, and he said yes.

Back to School day 2

For 2 nights in a roll, Naomi has been waking in the middle of the night whining about "媽咪我真係好鍾意你呀！＂。
(mommy I really like you!). That's her way of telling me that she is not happy with me.

But very proud of her, she only cried for one morning when she realized that I have gotten off to work. Hopefully she will stay that way.

Back 2 school

School starts tomorrow. (while daddy has a day off. Weird!). For the last two week, everyday when Naomi woke up in the morning, she would ask if I have to go to work. And when I said "no", she would cheer and say "YEAH!".

Good luck tomorrow. I hope she doesn't cry too much. I asked her: "When mommy go to work, 你使唔使喊呀？(do yo need to cry?)". She said " 要！＂（yes!). Hope she can get over it pretty soon.

Birthday Pancake

For Nathan's birthday, I made him a pancake birthday cake. I put nutella between each layer and put 5 long curly candles. Of course Nathan really really liked it. As we were singing the birthday song, the candles started slowly collapsing. It was because the pancakes were too hot that the candles were melted.
