Naomi has some special charisma about her. Everybody just seem to really want to be nice to her. After her class on Friday, Naomi and I decided to visit the library. I asked her what she wanted to borrow, and of course, it was Barbie. So we politely walked up to a librarian and see if she can help. That lady serious spent a good 15 minutes looking for Barbie but because these books are so popular, there were that many of them. So finally, she took a book off a reserved cart and gave it to Naomi. Her face literally glow.
At check-out time, the book was actually on hold for somebody else already. And Naomi was reasonable and had no problem not borrowing this book. But the lady who helped us kept bugging the circulation desk and insisted that since Naomi wanted it so so much, she should let Naomi sign it out. At first, the circulation desk lady said she can't because somebody else reserved it already. But after a few convincing from the first librarian, she caved in and let us take the book home.
Thank you very much for making Naomi's early experiences with the library so positive.
