Clean Water Science

 Thanks Esther EE for the science related toys that you got for us last year.

 Building the layers of filtration

 The first experiment is filtering water with oil contamination. 

 Success!  Very clear water!

 We also tried soy sauce.  There is the limitation of colour in water that wasn't filtered out.  Only the larger impurities were able to filtered out. 

We also tried to make distilled water. 

 Can you see the little cup in the middle?  That's the container for distilled water. 

 About 2/3 filled. 

 And at the end Nathan drank it all......(Not sure if it's wise, but he didn't get sick so I guess it was ok)

(We didn't let him drink the filtered water, only the distilled water since it's pretty clean, considered it was hot tea steam that we made from boiling water.)
