She played Goalie today! She played Goalie once when she was 5 years old. The experience must have been so traumatic that she has refused to play Goalie ever since.
Don't know what happened, she has volunteered to play Goalie this week. Good for her. She took it really seriously and asked daddy to practice with him in the basement the whole week leading up to today.
During practice, when pretty much let in all the goals (except like 2), so I was a little worried. But somehow she was on fire and played so well when the game started. She managed to saved every single goal. The team won by 3 to 0.
Complete shut out! We will see what tomorrow leads.... She volunteered to play Goalie again for tomorrow's game, playing against a much stronger team. Hope she can still hold up well.
